Creating Conversion Template GDBs

There are extra steps involved beyond the base creation workflow that include:

  • Preparing the source database.
  • Creating a template database that can accept all data from the source.
  • Appending data from the source to the template.
  • Enabling any template functions that had to be deactivated during appending.

This section will cover preparing the source database. When ready, proceed to the Creation Workflow.

Note

Not everything needs to be done in the source database. Some steps can be performed in the destination database. This seciton will cover what is needed to ensure data can be appended to the destination. More work might be needed to standardize data to work with attribute rules. ???
